Algean Clifford Woodard

Algean C. Woodard, 93, died Friday, January 29, 2021. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Friday, February 5, 2021, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Algean served two tours in the United States Army during the Korean War, and obtained the rank of Staff SGT. He participated in the creation of the Korean War Memorial in Wichita. Before retiring, he was the Director of Accounting for St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, where he worked for over 25 years. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mary Woodard; and brother, Earl Woodard, Jr. Survived by his wife, Bertha Woodard of Wichita, KS; sons, Cliff (Theresa) Woodard of Colwich, KS, Bill (Judy) Woodard of Wichita, KS, Jim (Mary) Woodard of Lincoln, NE; daughter, Janet (Chris) McCormack of Parkville, MO; granddaughters, Kristi (Neil) Gosch, Sarah (Joe) Appleton, Nicki (Shane) Seeley, Stephanie (Travis) Cook, Megan McCormack, Katie McCormack, Rachel (Luis) Calderon; grandsons, Thomas Woodard, Brooks McCormack, Austin (Nicky) Woodard, Trenton (Kayla) Woodard, Colton Woodard; and 13 great-grandchildren.
