Alice T. Pennington

Pennington, Alice T., 85, retired Woodlawn Nursing Home LPN, and Hampton Inn employee, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 8 at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Alices hobbies were the Dingling Band, the Wichita Broncos baseball team, and yard work. She also liked hot dogs, watermelon and ice cream. Preceded in death by husbands, Oscar Goens and Richard Pennington. Survivors: daughter, Janine Hand (Larry) of Rose Hill, KS; son, Ronald Goens of Wichita; step-son, Roger Pennington of California; former daughter-in-law, Pat Sargeant; grandchildren, Debbie Eggerly (Tim), John Goens (Melissa), Brigette Goens, Heather Jones, Shawn Jones, Aimee Sargeant (Robert Maestas), Brian Cullom (Toni), Christopher Goens and Nathan Goens; great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Candice, Victoria, Autumn, Chase, Marina, Cavern, Clover. Extended family members include Katrinka, Stephanie and Ethan and E. J. Leopold.
