Blasi, Alvin L., 81, retired Boeing machinist, died Sunday, June 17, 2007. Rosary, 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 20, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Service, 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 21, St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church in Schulte. Alvin was the son of the late Leo and Anna (Schnittker) Blasi and the fifth of their seventeen children. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Richard, Floyd, Daniel, and Vernon; sister Diann Dye. Survivors: daughters, Debbie Walker of Ft. Benning, GA, Michelle Poor and Megan Blasi both of Derby; brothers, Franklin, James, Ronnie and Paul all of Wichita; sisters, Clarentine Tasset of Pratt, Thelma Schulte, Patty Herron and Betty Legaly all of Wichita, Joan Kelley of Haven, Doris Werbach of Denver, CO, June Stabb of Longmont, CO; 4 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Cemetery Fund, 11000 Southwest Blvd., Wichita, KS 67215.
