Kellogg, Amy J., died of cancer on October 2, 2013. Amy Jane Kellogg was born in Wichita, KS, on December 30, 1956, the daughter of Robert and Mary Martha Kellogg. Amy graduated from Wichita High School North, and attended the University of Kansas and University of Pittsburgh, PA. For 20 years, Amy worked for Watermark Books in Wichita, as bookstore manager, and as co-creator and manager of the Watermark Caf. For five years, she worked as landscaper and gardener at Wichita State University. She married Todd Whipple in 1995 at the Garden of Eden in Lucas, KS. Amy was a beloved member of a large and close family. She is survived by her husband, Todd Whipple, of their home; her siblings, Jack Kellogg, Wichita; Carrie McDonald, Lawrence; Nancy Harper (Jerry Harper), Lawrence; Thomas Kellogg (Nancy Hubble), Lawrence; Paula C. Kellogg (Gordie Sailors), Perry; Barbara Gannon (Robert Sullivan), Gloucester, MA; Virginia Kellogg (Steven Filante), Towanda, PA, and sister-in-law Paula M. Kellogg, Wichita. She is also survived by her parents-in-law, Tom and Mary Lou Whipple of Kingsland, TX; brother-in-law Rick Whipple (Sara Whipple), Dallas, TX; her aunts, Virginia Garver and Cay Hatcher, both of Wichita, and Gwen Shidler, Ft. Myers, FL; and her uncle, John Carson, La Jolla, CA, along with 17 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Verne Kellogg, her aunt Frances Aitchison, and her uncle Frank Carson. Amy wished to recognize the care and devotion of the staff of Harden Hospice, Newton, including Annie Sieber, Linda Wiebe, Amy Claassen, and Sheila Dunlavey. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Downing Lahey Mortuary East, 6555 E. Central. Memorials in Amys name may be made to The Land Institute, 2440 E.
