PLAINVILLE - Harris, Anita, 87, Plainville Hospital nursing assistant, died Thursday, August 13, 2009. Service, 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 17, Downing Lahey Mortuary West in Wichita. Graveside service will follow at 3:30 P.M., Mounds Cemetery in Mounds, OK. Preceded in death by husband, Burl; son, Kenneth; daughter-in-law, Carol; brothers, Francis W., Lelis W. and Alfred R. Record; sisters, Jennie M. Cummings, Juliana Hughes and Mary Fields. Survivors: children and their spouses, Robert Harris, Tom and Leslie Harris, all of Great Bend, Jerry and Reesa Harris and Dorothy and Mark Schmidt of Topeka; Jacquie and Carl Meitler of Glenwood Springs, CO, Patricia Harris and David Richardson of Wichita; daughter-in-law, Diane Harris of Hays; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to your local chapter of Eastern Star or Sapulpa Senior Citizens Center, 515 E. Dewey, Sapulpa, OK 74066.

Jacquie & Carl, Sorry to hear about your Mom, Jacquie. We always enjoyed visiting with her when we would meet. She was always so upbeat and happy. We will always remember her and keep you all in our prayers. Not sure if the other brothers and sisters remember us but we offer them our sympathies also. Take care.
I am sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. Anita was a kind and caring woman. No one can ever prepare you for that final earthly goodbye, but rest assured she’s in the arms of our Savior.
