Anne Amelia (Runyan) Clements, 84, Retired Assistant with COX Communications, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am, Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Graveside to follow in Eureka, KS. Anne was born to Roderick William Runyan and Miriam Amelia Wood on November 19, 1931 in Kansas City, MO. Growing up, she attended public schools in Topeka and Eureka. Anne enjoyed writing, reading, genealogy, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She retired from COX Communications where she received an award for many years of dedicated service without ever taking a sick day. Preceded in death by her Father, Roderick Runyan; Mother, Miriam Deever; Step-Mother, Jeannette Runyan; Step-Father, Lawrence Deever; Brother, Wood W. Runyan. Survived by her Sons, Edwin Leland Prather of Wichita, KS; Dr. Stephen Eugene (Dr. Cynthia Jones-Prather) Prather of Salt Lake City, UT; Step-Son, Jay (Kendra) Clements of Carthage, MO; Grandchildren, Leland Jack Prather, Robert Austin Prather, both of Salt Lake City, UT, Elizabeth Clements of Ft. Scott, KS, Samantha Clements of Erie, KS; Sister-in-law, Cheryl Runyan of Wichita, KS; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial has been established with the Catholic Care Center, Memory Unit, 6700 E. 45th St. N., Wichita, KS 67226.
