Anthony Fanara

Anthony "Tony" Fanara passed away on February 18, 2016 in Wichita, Kansas. Tony was born on February 17, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan to Paolo and Stella Fanara. He married Grace Pupillo on May 28, 1949 and they had four children. In 1959, they built their family home in Roseville, Michigan, where they lived until 2009. Tony was a materials handler at Chrysler Corporation for 31 years. He retired in 1974 and enjoyed his family, gardening, traveling, and photography. He enjoyed collecting shells, stamps, and coins. He was hardworking, generous, and devoted to his friends and family. Tony and Graces home was truly a gathering place. He also was very devoted to his God Jehovah and enjoyed talking about him to others. Tony was predeceased by his parents, his wife Grace, brother Joseph, sisters Frances, Anita, and Mary, his beloved daughters Stella Hill and Fay Askew. He is survived by his sons, Paul (Linda) Fanara of Wichita, Ks, son Ben (Dori) Fanara of Fleming Island, Fl; grandchildren, Nadrina (Troy) Walker, Rachel (Josh) Davis, Naaman Fitzhenry, Ruth (Rick) Wesolowski, Naramas (Stacy) Fitzhenry, Rebecca (Joel) Garner, Macey (Ashton) Lloyd, Ashley Fanara, Brittany Fanara, Chloe Fanara; great-grandchildren Hannah, Libby, Bryce, Cecily, Isaac.
