Anthony Paul Rodriguez

Anthony Paul Rodriguez, 38, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015, of natural causes, at his home in Wichita. Anthony was born August 30, 1977, the son of Ramon Giles Rodriguez and Elida G. Rodriguez, and was a lifelong resident of Wichita. He graduated from Bishop Carroll Catholic High School and attended Butler County Community College. Anthony worked as a manager at Walmart, where he was employed for 12 years. He is survived by his mother, Elida G. Rodriguez; brother, Alexander Ramon Rodriguez; sister, Angela Cruz Shane, and her husband, Matthew Shane, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Anthony treasured the time he spent with his family. He loved sports and supported the Shockers, Steelers and San Francisco Giants. He was a foodie and a movie buff who also enjoyed Dr. Who, professional wrestling, classic video games, and was a collector of comics and graphic novels. His greatest passion, however, was music. Anthony was an avid music collector to the point of being an amateur historian in the areas of blues, jazz, and rock. He built and shared an impressive library. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11 and the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday September 12, both at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Following the burial, a reception will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Friends will be received prior to the Rosary and again at the reception.
