Anthony “Tony” R. Falo, 94, of Wichita, KS, died Friday, September 12, 2025. He was preceded in death in 2016 by Paula, his loving wife of nearly 60 years. Anthony is survived by his sons, Christopher, and his wife Terri (Rymon), of Wichita, KS, and Gerald of Baltimore, MD. He has six grandchildren, Anna Isabella “Annabell” Champagne (Falo), Gabriel Falo, Melody Perez (Falo), Valorie Falo, Nicholas Falo, and Juliette Falo. His three great-grandchildren are Sebastian, Gianna Marie, and Sakara Rose.

Tony was born in South Philadelphia and graduated from South Philadelphia High School in 1948. He was an active athlete and photographer. After high school, he joined the U. S. Air Force, and during his service in Korea he met Paula through her brother. Tony and Paula were married in November 1956 at St. Brigid’s Church in New York City. They settled in Philadelphia where they raised their family. Tony worked as an assistant clothes designer while attending night school at the Drexel Institute of Technology studying architecture. In 1968, he was awarded his bachelor’s degree in architecture. He became a licensed architect in Pennsylvania and worked as an architect for several companies, including his own partnership. His final job was working for the City of Philadelphia. In 1995, Tony and Paula retired to the Villages in Florida and spent 20 wonderful years together in retirement. While in retirement, Tony was an active softball player for many years and member of Korean War & Korea Defense Service Veterans, The Villages (FL), Chapter 169.  In 2018, he moved to Wichita to be close to his family. We appreciate the great people at Catholic Care Center and Harry Hynes Hospice for the care they gave him.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Alzheimer’s Association, Central & Western Kansas, 535 West Douglas, Suite 150, Wichita, KS 67213.

  1. Tony lived in the room next to my dad for more than two years. I will miss occasionally visiting with him, and hearing him tell me, “You’re beautiful.” R. I. P., Tony!
