(Crowther) Koontz, 67, Business Partner, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and wife, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022.Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday, September 9, 2022, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 10, 2022, at First United Methodist Church, Wichita, KS.Preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Elaine Koontz; parents, Paul and Elaine (Peasley) Crowther. Survived by her sister, Paula Merriam of Wichita; husband, James “JR” Ridgway Koontz, Jr.; daughter, Allison L. Koontz (Brett Dueser), of Wichita; son, Philip (Sarah) Koontz of Grandview, MO; grandsons, Kaleb Clubb (fiancé, Ashlyn Mirwald) of Pittsburg, KS, Dalton Hunn, Easton Scheer, both of Wichita; brother-in-law, Tim H. Koontz of Wichita; nephew, John Merriam of Topeka, KS; nieces, Dr. Margaret (Dr. Carlos Molina) Merriam of Andrew, TX, Katherine Merriam of Los Angeles, CA; chosen family, Katie (Scott) Bazzelle, Katie (Tim) Kampe, all of Wichita, KS, and their children.A memorial has been established with: St. Paul's United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 2137, Wichita, KS 67201.

I have always wondered about miss April.
Something told me to Google her name… Come to find out she’s with the Good Lord . So very sad to hear that but I know she is with her daughter. I had the pleasure of being one of her caregivers & she was so sweet and I loved her smile and laugh. Condolences to the family. Rest beautifully April. I’ll be sure to tell you hello when it’s my time.
