Archie E. Black, 92, restaurant owner, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016. No services. Archie was a man that truly lived by the song: "I Did It My Way". He was always proud of his World War II naval service. Archie was always close to his siblings and their children. He was a great uncle and a caring man. Per his niece, Cheryll, "I am very proud to have been his niece as my husband, Richard, was proud to be his nephew." Preceded in death by parents, Mary Ann and Jefferson Black; siblings, Ruth Slusser, Rilda Stedman, Margaret Black, Harrison, Charles and George Black. Survivors: niece, Cheryll (Richard) Stopka; sister-in-law, Barbara Black. Memorial established with St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.
