Ardena Beltz

Beltz, Ardena, 91, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Wichita, KS. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Downing Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Bethany Lutheran Church. She was born August 30, 1923, the daughter of David and Margaret Bergen, in Buhler, KS. Ardena married Leonard Beltz in 1948 in Fresno, CA and they celebrated 49 years together. She was a charter member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Wichita, KS. In her later years, she enjoyed writing articles for her church newsletter. Ardena was a loving mother, accomplished seamstress, cook and gardener with a tender heart for animals, especially her cats. Possessing a unique sense of humor, she enjoyed being with her family and talking about her German heritage. Survived by her daughters, Sharon (David) Stalker, Marlene King, both of Wichita; grandchildren, Sonya (Jamie) Korf, David (Angela) Stalker, Angie Stalker; great-grandchildren, Chris and Reuben Korf, Aven Stalker. Preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; parents, David and Margaret Bergen; sisters, Edna Doerksen, Margaret Hylton; brother, Alvin Bergen; grandson, Derek Harjo.
