Opp, Arthur G., Jr., 93, a retired tool and dye specialist from Masco Industries, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014. He was born to Pearl Elizabeth Hoehn and Arthur G. Opp, Sr. on January 30, 1921 in Mt. Olive, IL. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marcia Ann Opp (Neff); daughters, Nita Ann Long (Jerry) and Marianne Opp; granddaughters, Julie Ann Henry (Charles) and Lona Lee Muller. Preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers. Life member of the Masons, Lodge #323 in Milan, MI. He served as a 1st Lt in the United States Army Air Corps, completing a tour in the 8th Air Force as lead navigator on a B-24, receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross and Purple Heart. No service at the request of the deceased. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202. Downing Lahey East Mortuary.
