Zuendel, B. L. “Bert”, 80, retired Registered Nurse, died Wednesday, June 29, 2005. Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 4, 3:00 ~ 4:00 P.M. with the rosary at 4:00 P.M., both at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Funeral mass will be Tuesday, July 5 at 10:30 A.M., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Preceded in death by husband, Raymond, brother, Peter Lies and sister, Theresa Lies. Survivors: sons and daughter-in-law, Gregory Zuendel of Kansas City, MO and Steve and Chris Zuendel of Wichita; daughters and son-in-law, Stephanie Illidge of Wichita, Tammie and Jeff Schroeder of Indianapolis, IN; 11 grandchildren; sisters and brother, Mary Ann Buchholz of Roggen, CO, Tillie Hampel of Wichita, John Lies of Andale, KS, Stacy Sigg of Mount Hope, KS and Charlotte Beat of Murdock, KS. Memorials have been established with Faith Hospice, 7804 E. Funston, Wichita, KS, 67207 and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1321 Stratford, Wichita, KS, 67206.

I WAS SORRY TO SEE BERT HAD DIED. I ENJOYED OUR YEARS OF BOWLING TOGETHER. SHE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE WHEN I WOULD SEE HER AND I WAS A JOY TO TALK TO. SHE WILL BE MISSED. GOD BLESS YOU ALL WITH COMFORT AND SHARED MEMORIES.
