Barbara J. Warkentin

Barbara J. Warkentin, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 10, 2013. She was 80 years old. Born on August 19, 1932, Barb was adopted, loved and raised by P.R. and Ruth Linscheid in Arlington, KS. There she grew up with her one sibling, Paul Linscheid, and graduated from Arlington High School in 1950. Barb was dedicated to the caring profession of nursing, eventually spending over 24 years as a school nurse for the Wichita Public School District, USD 259. She is survived by her husband, Alden; daughters, Mavis (Paul) Griesemer and Valerie (Randy) Husman, and 3 grandchildren, Kristen Griesemer, Nedra Husman, and Jessica Griesemer. Memorial service, 2 pm, Saturday, June 15, Hope Mennonite Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hope Mennonite Memorial Garden, 868 N. Maize Rd., Wichita, KS 67212.
