Cunningham, Barbara Kay (Farris), 71, died Friday, November 12, 2010. Rosary service 7:00 P.M. Monday, November 15, 2010, and Memorial Mass 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 16, 2010, both at Church of the Magdalen. Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother of the Cunningham Family. Barbara was the daughter of the late James Farris and the late Kathleen (Arnholtz) Farris and was born in Wichita, Kansas on June 25, 1939. Barbara attended Willard Garvey Elementary and East High School. She then attended Newcomb College and Tulane University in New Orleans graduating with a degree in Liberal Arts. Barbara met Wathen “Watty” Cunningham while attending Wichita State University for her teaching certificate. They were married on February 8, 1964. Over the years, Barbara expressed her love of interior design working to help so many create beautiful homes. Her true passion, however, was her unconditional love of her family and friends. Barbara found the most joy in the happiness of others. Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Wathen; children, Amy (Mark) Brock of Kansas City, Molly (John) Shawver, and Brian (Amy) Cunningham, all of Wichita, Karen (Kirk) Meyer, of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Lily and Sophie Shawver ,Charlotte Brock, Rose, Gwyneth, and Jude Cunningham, and Kyle Meyer. Memorials to: The Lords Diner, 520 N. Broadway, Wichita, Kansas. Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Rosary service 7:00 P.M. Monday at Church Of The Magdalen
