Barbara (Roths) Ridder

Barbara (Roths) Ridder, 92, passed away on March 25, 2017. Barbara was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, Rosie the Riveter, McDonalds employee and a friend to all. She was born December 20, 1924, in Cheney, KS, the daughter of Matthew and Caroline (Landwehr) Roths. On November 28, 1945, she married Theodore P. Ridder. Survived by her sister, MaryAnn Schmidt; daughters, Dottie Smith (Rocke) of Wichita, KS and Janet Webb (Doug) of Derby, KS; son, Tom Ridder (Stephanie) of Trophy Club, TX; 24 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Mathew, Raymond, Albert, Aloysius, Lawrence, Ralph, and James; sisters, Alma Posch, Wilhilmina Hilger and Bernadine Meyer; husband, Ted; children, Ronnie, Susie Higgins, Billy, Nancy Evans, and great-grandchild, Kali. Rosary will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, March 30th, 2017, with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30am on Friday, March 31, 2017, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N. Socora, Wichita. Interment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery, 1640 N. Maize Rd, Wichita. Memorial to the Ronald McDonald House, 1110 N. Emporia Ave, Wichita.
