Bari Ann Garst

Bari Ann Garst Born September 29, 1953 in Pratt, KS, she passed away at the age of 62 on December 17, 2015 in Wichita, after a stubborn contest with cancer. She was preceded in death by parents Paul Garst, Jr. and Anna Louise Garst. A proud Pratt High School Greenback, Bari kept close lifelong friendships with many members of the Class of 71. With a degree in interior design from KSU, she associated with the Wichita design firm of PS and Company and began her career touching homes and offices with her wonderful sense of style and making clients, artisans and industry representatives into friends along the way. Her business evolved in to Bari Garst Design. As a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) since 1982, she was active in local chapter events and received recognitions for her outstanding service to the society. Bari was honored to collaborate on the renovation of the Wichita Carnegie Library, helping to restore the character and artistry of the 1915 landmark into a 2009 functional corporate headquarters. She is survived by her brother, Greg (Sandra) Garst of Noble, LA and many friends including Lucy and Molly. Suggested memorials to Catholic Charities, Harbor House, 437 N.
