Belinda Mae Boston, 55, passed away on December 25, 2022. She was born on April 26, 1967 in Tacoma, Washington to James Gotthardt and Betty Powers. She graduated from Ames High School in 1985 and continued her education at Newman University to pursue an associate’s degree in nursing. She graduated as a registered nurse in 1997.
Belinda’s passion for her career was evident. She dedicated her life to caring for others. Throughout her career, Belinda worked in many different nursing capacities. She worked in labor and delivery as well as long term care. She was sweet, always helping others and lived her life to make a difference in the lives of so many.
More than anything, Belinda loved her family. She was the absolute best mom and “gammy.’ Everyone who knew her knew how much she loved and was proud of her kids and grandkids. One of her greatest joys in life was being “gammy.” She will be deeply missed by all.
Belinda is survived by her mother, Betty; her children, Thomas, Sarah and Rebecca; her grandchildren, Liam and Violet. Belinda is preceded in death by her partner, Gloria and her father, James.
Visitation will be held at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary on January 4th from 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Ridgepoint Church on January 5th at 11:30 am.
