Belva Mae Engel, 88, Homemaker, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday, July 8, 2022, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Faith Renewal Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Anna Hendricks; husband, Robert Engel; son, Shawn O'Callahan; brother, Judd Hendricks; sisters, Jerry Wesley, Jeane Grayson, Voriece Frymyer. Survived by her daughter, Barbara (Michael) Harkness of Anthony, KS; son, Bodie Engel of Viola, KS; brothers, Bill Hendricks of Garden City, KS, Dean (Gail) Hendricks of Dallas, TX; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with: Faith Renewal Church, 2000 N. Maize Rd, Wichita, KS 67212.

Belva was a very much a lady, and a kind Mother-in-law, and I appreciated so much being included in all of the family celebrations – even after Shawn’s death. I have so many good memories of family dinners and times at her home. She had a beautiful smile and a great sense of humor. Her kindness and love for her family are what I will always remember most about Belva. May her Memory be Eternal. Our prayers and best wishes to all of the family and extended family.
