Wurtz, Bernard L. “Bernie,” 80, retired, 39 year NCR District Administrative Manager and teacher in a one-room country school, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010. Rosary/Vigil, 7 p.m., Tuesday, October 19; Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 20, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard, Sr. and Loretta (Straub); brothers, Clarence, Marvin, Audry, and Lawrence; sisters, Veronica, Theresa, and Marie; grandson Justin Kahler. Survivors include wife, Diane (Diederich); daughters, Bernadette (Don) Fetterolf, Debbie (Ralph) Kimble, both of Wichita, Lori Stewart, of Chesapeake, VA, and Dawn (Randy) Chastain, of Denver, CO; son, Matt, of Topeka, KS; brothers, Wilfrid (Margaret), of Fairfield Bay, AR and Robert (Winona), of Topeka; sister, Vera Girard, of Concordia, KS, 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
