Berneice Ann Leivian-Hermann, 93, crossed the veil to eternal life July 31, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. Born June 15, 1932, to William & Theresa Leivian in Seneca, Kansas. They soon moved to Wichita, Kansas.
Berneice attended St. Mary’s Cathedral High School and graduated with honors. Shortly after graduation, Berneice was hired in an administration position at O.A. Sutton Company, manufactures of the legendary Vornado Fan. During this time, she met the love of her life, Calvin Hermann of Bleier’s IGA, and they married in 1951. Berneice and Calvin were life long members of St. Jude Catholic Church.
Berneice lived a long and fruitful life enjoying time with her family and traveling the US and abroad with her loving husband, Calvin. Berneice touched many people’s lives, including several who had lost their mothers at an early age.
Throughout her life she volunteered and attended adoration at St. Jude’s Catholic Church.
She was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all.
Berneice is preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings; and loving husband, Calvin Hermann. She is survived by children, Janice Petrie, Steve Hermann, Rick Hermann, Max (Missy) Hermann and Rox Hermann. Berneice has fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Rosary will be held at 9:30 am, Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, both on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at St. Jude Catholic Church, located 3030 North Amidon Road, Wichita, Kansas 67204. Immediately following Mass, the Ceremonial Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum at 1640 North Maize Road, Wichita, Kansas 67212.
