Bettie Nell Cordes, 96, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, died Thursday, October 21, 2021. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Cordes; parents, John and Mary Cocking. Survived by her son, Marty (Helen) Shawver of Douglass, KS; daughter, Judy (David) Tillemans of Rock, KS; step-daughter, Kathryn "Kathy" Pelz of Leawood, KS; step-son, Kenneth Cordes of Apopka, FL; grandchildren, Grant (Sarah) Tillemans, Shawn Tillemans, Sally Shawver, Blaine Shawver; step-grandchildren, Johnathan Pelz, Michael Pelz, Kristen Pelz; step-great-grandchild, Lilly Brady-Pelz; many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Victory In The Valley, 3755 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67218.
