Graveside service, 3:00 P.M., Monday, February 26, St. Marys Cemetery, Gorham, KS. Preceded in death by parents, Herman and Clara Witt; brothers, Harold and Bud Witt. Survivors: husband, James; son, Gary of Wichita; daughters, Linda Jackson of Wichita, Brenda Horine of Burrton; brother, Don Witt; sisters, Doris Dreiling, Twila Froelich, Alice Presti; 5 grandchildren. Memorials established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202 and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N. Socora, Wichita, KS 67212. Downing Lahey Mortuary West.

I am so sorry for your family’s loss. I had never met ‘Grandma’ personally, but to see what she meant to Amiee and to see her through her eyes, I believe she was an ‘Awesome’ and wonderful woman. Be thankful for all the great memories you were able to share and cherish them. May the Holy Spirit comfort you and give you a Peace that passes All understanding. I’m praying for you – as He brings you through.
I met Betty about a 1 1/2 ago, when I started cutting her hair. And from the first time I met her she had such a warm smile, and just brought such a warm welcoming sense with her, even after everything she had been through she still came in with that smile. She always talked about her family and how excited she was to see them and spend time with all of you. I only new her a short time, but I will truly never forget her, and her beautiful smile. She is with the Lord now and feeling no pain. Your family will be in my prayers, God Bless.
