Betty I. Utz

Betty I. (Sundee) Utz, entered this life on May 11, 1919, and went to her eternal reward on June 17, 2016. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family for her loving care, bright smile and understanding nature. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Howard E. Utz; her daughter, Mary Clare (Utz) Page, and her parents, John and Mary Sundee. Betty was a devoted Catholic and said a rosary daily for each grandchild. She enjoyed a lifelong love of sewing, playing bridge and visiting with friends. The services for Betty will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 20, and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 21. She is survived by daughter, Cheryl Young (Don); sons, Howard E. Utz, Jr. (Dee) and Leonard Utz (Kathy); 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with warm affection to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N. Socora, Wichita, KS 67212. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.
