Beulah Katherine Farha

Farha, Beulah Katherine “Bea” (Husson), born August 1, 1919, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the age of 94. Trisagion and Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral at 10:00 A.M. Beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, great-aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she is preceded in death by her parents, Very Reverend Fr. Nicholas and Mary Husson; husband, Alfred M. Farha; sisters, Vivian Coury and Virginia Farah. She is survived by her sister, Lorraine Ferris; children, Alan Farha, Nicholas Farha (Ching-Wen Chang), and MaryKay Farha Nichols (Ronald); grandchildren, Tiffany, Alan II, and Ryan Farha, Marissa, Justin, and Spencer Nichols; great-grandchild, Pierce Farha; nieces, Valerie DeBolt, Cathy Fairbanks, Tracy Namee, Cristeen Millar, Nancy, Carol, Kathy, and Ruth Ann Farha, and Janis Lowe; nephews, Bruce and Gregory Ferris, Marc Coury, Floyd, Arthur, Charles, and Robert Farha; and many great-nieces and nephews. A lifetime member of St. George Orthodox Christian Church, Beulah sang in the choir for 61 years; was active in the annual Lebanese dinner for many decades; and was a member of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Women of North America, Southwest Region, for many years, serving two terms as vice president. Employed in retail shoe sales until retirement, she was at Bucks Department Store downtown until it closed in 1967 and at several Henrys locations for nearly 20 years.
