Celebrating the life of Beverly Ann “Bev” Snodgrass, a cherished beacon of love, faith, thoughtfulness, and generosity. Beverly passed peacefully on December 14, 2025, at age 88 in her home city of Wichita, Kansas. Born on November 6, 1937, in Kansas City, KS, Beverly’s journey was one of enduring grace and profound influence.
Beverly and her beloved husband, Garth D. Snodgrass, were united in matrimonial love on September 21, 1957, and shared 68 years of devoted marriage. Their life together was rooted deeply in their faith, as active members of the Risen Savior Lutheran Church, where Beverly’s commitment to her community shone brightly.
Beverly’s professional life was marked by her meticulous skills as a bookkeeper for various non-profit organizations, including Rainbows United and Mid-American All-Indian Center. Her charitable spirit extended beyond her career, actively participating in various church organizations and leading a cards of encouragement ministry, which brought solace and joy to many.
Throughout her life, Beverly cherished the beauty of nature with numerous hikes in Colorado during her youthful years, and later enjoyed many games of Rummy Cube with friends and family. Her strong faith in Christ was a pillar of strength, from overcoming a tumultuous childhood to fostering the same faith within her family.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her children, Sheri (Paul) Doyon, Connie (George) Simpson, and Scott (Tracey) Snodgrass. Her legacy also lives on through her grandchildren, Matt (Jennifer) Kerr, Korie Kerr, Lacy Kerr, Jesse Krenzer, Renaté (Jordan) Golden, Damera Davidson, Caleb (Jessica) Schneekloth, Jonah Simpson, Whitney (Caleb) Good, and Jacob (Ashley) Snodgrass, along with 16 great-grandchildren. Beverly is also survived by her siblings, Don (Mary) Rogers, Gary Rogers, and Shirley (Stan) Rorrer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Renade Rogers; and her siblings, Chester Rogers II, Howard Rogers, Kenny Rogers, Cliff Rogers, and Ruth Rogers.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Friday, December 19, 2025, at Risen Savior Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to the Risen Savior Love Fund c/o Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 6770 E. 34th St. N., Wichita, KS 67226, an organization that was close to Beverly’s heart.
Beverly Ann Snodgrass will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, and a steadfast believer whose life was a beautiful testament to the power of kindness and faith. She has left behind an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
