Blackmon, Betty M., 80, retired office manager, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Service 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 30, Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by husband, Robert L. Blackmon, mother, Elizabeth Hoover and sisters, Barbara Conover and Sandra Morgan. Survivors: son, Bob Blackmon of Enid, OK; daughters, Teel Blackmon of Wichita and Karen Pepper (Loren) of Derby, KS; brother, Kent Hoover (Carol) of Riverside, CA; sisters, Joyce Harris of St. George, UT and Marcia Moore of Pittsburgh, KS; grandchildren, Obie Pepper, Jessie Pepper, April Pepper and Ashley Blackmon; great-grandchildren, Kamryn, Allyson, Gage and Garrett. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Holy Cross Lutheran School, 600 N. Greenwich, Wichita, KS, 67206 and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS, 67202.
