Bruce E. Peterman

Bruce E. Peterman, 85, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016. Visitation with the family, 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 4, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Bruce was a humble man who lived life by example. He achieved much success in his 40+ year career as an aeronautical engineer with Cessna Aircraft Company. Nothing made him more proud than his family. He was a devoted husband of 63 years to Connie, the love of his life, and was an active participant in his childrens lives. As an advocate for education, Bruce was involved in various committees at Wichita State University and the University of Kansas. His involvement in the Boy Scouts of America, as a young man was a tradition Bruce passed down to his sons. He was an active leader in scouting for many years. Bruce also enjoyed reading, travel and music, especially, jazz. Preceded in death by his wife, Connie; parents, Neton and Grace Peterman, and brother, Neton. Survivors: children, Mike (Carla) Urbandale, IA, Jeff (Debbie) Wichita, KS, Liz Lacy (Craig) Port Byron, IL; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and brother, Lee of Merrill, WI.
