My deepest sympathies to you Jill and the Miller and Matthews families as you grieve the loss of Bruce. Bruce was a kind and gentle soul who knew the Word of God and integrated it into his life daily. I have fond memories of Bruce participating in my Good and Beautiful God Spiritual Formation class at Hillside Christian Church. He will be missed. I am keeping all of you lifted up in prayer. My sincere condolences on the death of Bruce. He loved you Jill! He was a man of conviction and stood for what he understood to be right. He could be uncompromising and harsh on certain topics but in your marriage you had a way to make him pause and see all sides. That is why your marriage was so great and this is such a loss. Jill, you took outstanding care of him and clearly showed your love for him in these last couple of years. Our hearts are broken at his departure, but as Christians some day we will meet again.
Fair winds and following seas sailor. “Boatswain… Standby to pipe the side… Shipmate’s going Ashore…” Thank you Bruce for your service to this nation. U.S. Coast Guard.
