Calvin L. Volker

Calvin L. Volker, 91, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014. Visitation with the family is 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday and memorial service is 1:30 pm Wednesday at Downing and Lahey West Mortuary. Calvin was born on October 22, 1922 in Zenith, Kansas. He was a WWII Veteran and retired from Beech Aircraft after working 44 years. He is preceded in death by his twin daughters, Pamela and Priscilla; parents, William and Carrie Volker; siblings, Venita, Delores, Madge and Leonard. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Arlene; sons, Tracy (Patti) Volker of San Antonio, TX, Martin (Peggy) Volker of Lenexa, Kirk (Karen) Volker of Mt. Airy, MD; daughters, Linda (Fred) Pechin of Wichita; sister, Margorie Alesio of New York, Jewell Jordan of Derby; grandchildren, Megan, Melissa, William (Ashley), Adam, Clayton, Sammi, Cameron, Calvin; great-grandchildren, Carter and Alexis. In lieu of flowers, memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society, 330 S. Main, S-100, Wichita, Kansas 67202.
