When I think of Carla, I immediately think of her joyful and hearty laugh and her radiant smile!! She had a wonderful positive outlook on life and 3rd grade students at Bles Sac loved her dearly!! It brings me great joy thinking of her running to Jesus in her celebration of eternity!!
Carla was a great friend to my parents, John and Mary Mertes. She took me and my brother to fantasy water park back in the day. She was kind, fun loving and had a great outlook on life. She was loyal parent to her son. May she rest in peace. She will be in my prayers for the faithfully departed.
Oh Carla, you were a gem to our family and so many others! From babysitting Mark when he was little, to have you watch my kids grow up. You have always been in our lives and we will miss you dearly! Go be with Howard and watch over those that loved you so much. 🙏🙏🙏

Dear Mrs. Mckee,
You were such a wonderful and well loved teacher at Booth Elementary School. You had my twin sister, Sandra, and my younger sister, Carol, in your class. I was in another class so as to not confuse the teachers because I was the identical twin. However, you always greeted me with a big smile and such love to my sisters and I, as well as, all the students you taught. I remember on “Show and Tell Day” you let both, Sandra and Carol, bring our pet dog, Christy, to school. You let our pup stay all day so quietly next to their desk as you graciously stated, “What a well mannered pup she was and, certainly a delight.” You certainly made a wonderful imprint into many young lives and will never be forgotten. You are a beautiful soul. Fly high in Heaven in God’s home. You certainly deserve this. Good servant, well done.
To the family of Mrs. Mckee, we extend our deepest sympathy to all of you during this time.
Best regards in love,
Shirley Sagerty, Sandra Sagerty-Crenshaw, Carol Bubnick
My memories: Carla did everything with a smile. Such a distinctive laugh & voice, matched only by her unique point of view. Thoroughly enjoyed every conversation and insight. She was always so thoughtful & kind to my son, John. Forever grateful. I always smile thinking of her.
Condolences to Mark, Amanda & family.
