96, homemaker and business owner, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018. Rosary, 7 p.m., Thursday, November 1, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m., Friday, November 2, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Carmens parents, the late Simona V. (Vasquez) and Prisiliano N. Supulveda, both immigrated from Mexico and established their family in El Dorado, Kansas. Carmen moved from El Dorado to Wichita in the 1930s where she later met her husband, Robert R. Flores. They were married on September 6, 1941, and she supported him as a military wife during World War II. She was a full-time homemaker until the couple opened Robertos Mexican Foods and Spices during the 1970s where she helped run the business until her retirement in 1987. She and Robert were married for 44 years until his passing on October 11, 1985. Carmen and Robert were active members of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wichita where they helped establish the churchs Perpetual Adoration Chapel. Along with her other activities, Carmen enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading and spending time with her family. Also preceding her in death were her youngest son, Mark, who passed away on July 8, 1985; her sisters, Mary Triana, Juanita Jimenez, Lupe Toledo, and her brother Frank Supulveda. Survivors include her children, Michael Flores and Cynthia Flores both of Wichita; grandchildren, Raquel (Brian) Bentley of Wichita, Eric (Lori) Flores of Olathe, Paul Rosales of Wichita, Alexander Islam of Fort Worth, TX; great-grandchildren, Aaron (Denise) Bentley of Wichita, Jadyn and Jacob Flores of Olathe, Jaxson and India Rosales of Wichita, Alexandria Islam of Fort Worth, TX, and great-great-grandson, Luke Bentley. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with St. Patrick Catholic Church, Adoration Chapel Fund, 2007 N. Arkansas, Wichita, KS 67203.
Carmen was a dear, sweet woman. I loved her. She enjoyed seeing my four sons grow up and family get togethers were always fun and filled with laughs and good food. Rest In Peace, Carmen, and you are with Mark and Bob at last.
May our Lord and the saints welcome Carmen into Heaven with love and warmth.

So very sorry to hear of your loss of Carmen. It was so nice to see everyone at the funeral. You were our good neighbors for many many years. In fact, I will always remember that it was your driveway that I broke my wrist. Ha, the good old days! Please know that you all will be in my thoughts and prayers!
