70, passed into Eternal Life, Monday, July 9, 2018. She was born in Wichita, Kansas on January 4, 1948. Carol worked as a registered nurse before becoming a mother and raising two sons. Her Catholic faith was an integral part of daily family life, which strengthened herself and those around her. She enjoyed the simple things of life, like the beauty of nature and lasting friendships. Carol accepted lifes challenges with courage and grace, which inspired many who knew her. She was preceded in death by parents, David and Frances Koester, and son, Craig Dunlop. Survivors: husband, William “Bill” Dunlop; son, Brian Dunlop of Independence, MO; sisters, Janice Rocheleau of Wichita, Nancy (Tom) Stieber of AZ, Shirley Simon of Wichita; brothers, Jim (Janet) Koester and Michael (Flora) Koester all of Wichita. Rosary, 9:30 a.m.; Funeral Mass, 10:00 a.m., both Saturday July 14, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Memorial established with American Diabetes Association, 608 W. Douglas, S-100, Wichita, KS 67203. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.
Going to miss my Godmother, knowing she is in Heaven with Craig humbles me.
Carol you were such a blessing to all who knew you, Your smile warmed our hearts, the way you lived your life is inspirational, your faith unshakable. Rest In Peace now Godmother.

Carol, our dear sister, Your Godly example of meeting daily challenges with love, courage, perseverance, strength and grace, throughout your life, and especially these last few months, will be forever etched in our hearts.
