Carol Anne Breneman passed away on June 6, 2016 in Boulder, Colorado. She was born November 13, 1942 in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from Benton High School as valedictorian. She received a degree in languages from Emporia College where she graduated with honors and a Masters Degree in French at the University of Oklahoma. She continued with doctoral work at Colorado University Boulder. Carol lived in Paris, France, for a year as part of her language studies. She was fluent in several languages. Carol worked for Colorado Video in Boulder for 20 years and made several trips to Europe for trade shows as part of her employment. She enjoyed photography, needlework, movies, genealogy, traveling and mystery novels. Her family and friends fondly remember gifts of birthday cards filled with balloons and Christmas packages overflowing with candy and homemade pfefferneussen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herschel and Leita Breneman. Carol is survived by her sisters Nancy Maxwell and her husband Don, and Vickie Moots and her husband John; nieces and nephews Kirsten Pettus and her husband Lamar, Jennifer Andrews, Melissa Boerma and her husband Kevin, Jonathan Moots, Adam Moots and his fiance Tara Kisla, and Penny Berg and her husband Brent; and great-nieces and nephews Katie Pettus, Luke Pettus, Caleb Berg and Macy Berg, and Brandon, Bryce, Kelsey, AJ and Madison Moots. A graveside service will be held on June 25, 2016 in Kechi Cemetery in Kechi, Kansas, at 10:00 am.
