Carole Y. Bryant, aged 81, entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas, joining her late husband and soulmate, Gary. She was born on December 14, 1943, in Syracuse, Kansas, to Orville and Evelyn (Hetrick) Bitner, who have both preceded her in death. Carole was united in marriage with Gary L. Bryant on September 19, 1991, in Wichita, Kansas; he passed away on August 6, 2017.

Carole retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company but continued her career at Anderson Merchandising in later years, keeping herself busy. She enjoyed various hobbies including reading, bowling, archery, traveling and the companionship of her dogs.

She is survived by her daughter, Sher French of Wichita, Kansas; her grandchildren, James Covel (Alexus), Julia Jones (Kyle), Christin Covel, Jason French, Taylor Anderson (Jessy McDonnold), Sarah Faye Dorris (Scott), Kasey Kolleda (Aaron), and Mark Anderson (daughter – Kirby); her niece, Susan McCoy; nephews, Bob Clair (Amy) and Justin Clair (Delona); numerous great-grandchildren; and seven siblings, Barbara Myers of Rolla, KS, Phylis Clair of Hugoton, KS, Cindy Bitner Medina of Salina, KS, Becky Jo Romes of Garden City, KS, Kay Larson of St. Louis, MO, Alan Bitner of Winfield, KS, Van Bitner of McPherson, KS, and the late Larry Bitner of Elkhart, KS; along with many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A memorial has been established with: Kansas Humane Society, 3313 North Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219. Arrangements provided by Downing & Lahey West Mortuary.
