With heavy hearts and grateful memories, we announce the passing of Carolyn Goering, our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend, who departed this world on November 30, 2025.
She graced our lives with beauty, faith, and an abiding spirit of love and kindness. Her unwavering Christian faith was a guiding light to all who knew her, radiating in every act of caring, compassion, and joy that she shared.
Her days were filled with the simple pleasures that brought her happiness: the gentle art of bird watching, where she would marvel at God’s creation, and the company of dear friends with whom she played lively games of mahjong and canasta. These moments of laughter and camaraderie, brightened by her warmth and humor, created cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Carolyn’s devotion to her family was at the very heart of her life. She was a devoted mother whose nurturing presence shaped her family with tenderness and strength. Her love extended through generations, as she was the proud grandmother to Tyler and Ryder and great grandmother to Eleanor.
She now joins her beloved husband, Fred, with whom she had been married for 57 years, her cherished parents, and her sister, Linda, in Heaven. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we rejoice that she is reunited with those she loved and who went before her, embraced in eternal peace and glory.
Carolyn is survived by her two sons, Ben (Shanda) and Matt (Vanessa); two grandsons, Tyler (Madeline) and Ryder; a great-granddaughter, Eleanor; and her sister, Cheryl.
Friends and family are invited to attend funeral services Thursday, December 11, 2:00pm at NewSpring Church (12200 East 21st North, Wichita, KS 67206). In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to NewSpring Church, or the charity of your choice.
Carolyn’s legacy of love, faith, and friendship continues to bless us all. We will carry her memory forward in our daily lives, honoring her by cherishing each other, embracing kindness, and finding joy in life’s simple treasures—just as she did.
Until we meet again, may she rest in the arms of her Savior, surrounded by the everlasting love she so freely gave.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Carolyn’s passing. She and I worked closely together for many years at Koch, and I am grateful for her friendship. She loved life and her family, and I know she will be missed by many. I pray that wonderful memories and the eternally true promises of our Lord and Savior will comfort you in coming weeks and months. Blessings to you all . . .
You were a wonderful mother and one of the best neighbors ever. I always looked forward to seeing you and Fred when I’d knock on your front door to see if Ben or Matt were around. Your boys are great young men now….so you must’ve done an amazing job! I’d be remiss to not mention your beauty…..as I always hoped it was YOU that came to the front door (no offense to Fred or the boys). I know you and Fred and my dad and sis are watching over us to see what mischief we’re in now! Prayers to all the family members and friends who you touched 🙏❤️🩹
