Carrie Michelle Marlett

Carrie Michelle Marlett 52, of Leon, Kansas, went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2016 at Kansas Medical Center in Andover, Kansas. She was born October 21, 1963 in Olathe, Kansas to Ronald Lee and Josephine Alene (Pierce) Chapin. She worked as a Unit Team Manager at the El Dorado Correctional facility for the past 20 years. Carrie also loved to sew and quilt in her free time. She was preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Lynn Brown; stepfather, Kenneth Wade Wood; stepfather, Donald Richey; and father, Ronald Lee Chapin. She was survived by her mother, Josephine Alene Wood; daughter, Brandie Callison (Deuane); husband, Joseph Castor; sisters, Debbie Morris (Kelly), Kim Swanner; brothers, Kyle Chapin (Dyan), Kevin Chapin (Pam); step-sisters, Debbie England (Dennis), Fay Ann Binder (Dan), Diane Potter (Ryan); step-brothers, Jimmy Wood (Janice), Barry Wood (Tracy); step-daughters, Janina and Jaimie Castor; grandchildren, Madelynn, Emersyn, Alexus, Angelo; 9 nieces and nephews; 4 great-nephews. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday January 30, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary, 6555 East Central, Wichita, Kansas with the Pastor Don Mayberry presiding.
