Casey Rene Thomas, 29, a student at Friends University, “also known as Spanish Chica,” passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012. Visitation with the family, 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, December 11, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Service 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 12, Cross Road Fellowship Bible Church. Preceded in death by grandparents, Atie Borst and Ted Beard; uncle, Steve Thomas. Survivors: parents, Michael and Yvonne; sister, Samantha; grandparents, Kathy Beard, Arthur Borst and Elias and Shirley Thomas; uncles, David Thomas (Jennie), Rob Borst (Linda); aunts, Cindy Cramer (Jeff), Tracey Carlile (John), Mary Ann Bruggeman (Doug), Diane Strickland (Jim) and Elizabeth Kone (Galen); numerous cousins and friends.
