Catherine Anne Kitty (Curry) Meitzner

Meitzner, Catherine (Kitty) Anne (Curry), 84, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 9, 2014. Kitty Anne Curry was born July 22, 1929 to Joseph Aloysius and Mary Leone Curry. On January 9, 1954, Kitty Anne married Paul Meitzner; together they celebrated 56 years of marriage. Kitty graduated from Mount Carmel Academy and later Wichita State University. She enthusiastically served on many community and Catholic Church and School organizations. Kitty Anne enjoyed family and friends throughout her life and had a passion for WSU athletics. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul, parents, brothers, Meuli, Robert, Maurice, Thomas, and Richard. She is survived by her children, Chris Meitzner of Craig, CO, Pete (Suzi), Mike (Brenda), Alex (Annette), Max (Cecilia), Cathy Dewey (Brent), Paula Nance (Jim) all of Wichita; grandchildren, Zack and Graham Meitzner, Thomas, Daniel and Christopher Meitzner, Erich and Natalie Meitzner, Troy and Jack Dewey, Sam and Michael Nance, Travis (Renee) Nola and Lydia Butler, Tyler (Maggie) and Mathias Butler, Jay (Ashley) Jax and Ruby Doshier, and Lauren Doshier. Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M., Friday, July 11, 2014; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 12, 2014, both at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
