Cesar Joseph Godinez passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the age of 78. He was born on October 17, 1943 in Chanute, KS to Eliborio and Louisa Godinez, who preceded him in death along with brothers, Arthur and Lupe.Cesar attended of the University of Kansas where he proudly graduated with a degree in pharmacy. He spent his entire career as a pharmacist helping people and went out of his way to always serve with care and integrity. His retirement was spent with his wife, Karen, enjoying his children, grandchildren and friends and family. He loved sports of all kinds, and you always knew you would find him rooting for the Jayhawks.Cesar is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen L. (Jorel) Godinez. He is also survived by his son, Michael (Sara) Godinez of Lawrence, KS; daughter, Tricia Whitehead of Wichita, KS; daughter, Johnna Godinez of Olathe, KS; daughter, Becky (Mark) Brickman of Milton, GA; son, Chris (Sarah) Godinez of Kirkwood, MO; and son, Patrick (Melissa) Godinez of Pace, FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Elizabeth Godinez, Maddie Norris, Lauren Mills, Brooke Mills, Alex Godinez, Luke Godinez, Tori Godinez, Claire Godinez, Aubrey Godinez and Josh Godinez.A memorial had been established in his honor with the National Kidney Foundation, through Rallybound.   1. I remember Cesar as happy and joyful ,appreciating life with his family. Sincere condolences to Karen, children and grandchildren.

  2. Our heartfelt prayers go out to the family of Cesar. He was a caring person, both to his customers and toward other pharmacists. We will miss him at the Wichita Academy of Pharmacists.
