Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We are deeply saddened to receive news of uncle’s passing.

We met uncle when we visited Wichita for the first time in 2000. He was a friendly and kindhearted person. We felt very welcomed by his goodwill gesture during our stay. He will take us out for lunch, introduce us to vietnamise dishes and so on. We still remember on our last day in Wichita (year 2000), when it was time to go back to Malaysia, uncle was there at the airport to send us off and he also bougth some Banh Mi for us, so that we can eat them later during our transit, so thoughful of him! Until now that was the best Banh Mi that we have ever had, wouldn’t find another one that could ever beat this. Since then we will receive phone call from uncle every year on Chinese New Year, never forget to send his well wishes and greetings.

Our meetings were few (2000, 2006, 2012) and brief, but always a joy to meet up with him. Those memories will forever be in our heart, thank you so much uncle, for all you have done. You will be missed but not forgotten.

May you rest in peace and our condolences go out to uncle’s family and friends.

    ~Lye Family (Malaysia)
