Charles E. Leonard

Leonard, Charles E. “Benny,” 90, died at Via Christi-St Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS on Fri., May 1, 2015 surrounded by his family. Born Oct. 6, 1924, in Eureka, Kansas, he and his beloved wife, Josie settled in Wichita after marriage. Benny served in the army during WWII, stationed in the South Pacific. He was fortunate enough to take and Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. in 2013. He worked at Wichita State University as the Building Engineer of the Campus Activity Center until retiring. He was a member of the University Congregational Church. Survivors include his three children, Craig Robert Leonard and Laurie Williamson and their families including grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation from 5-7 P.M., Sun., May 3, 2015, at the Downing Lahey East Mortuary; Funeral Service at 10 A.M., Mon., May 4, 2015, at University Congregational Church; Burial at 3 P.M., Eureka, KS.
