Chuck was my next door neighbor for many years as Igrew up. He was always a delight to talk to when we were both out working in the yard together. As I grew older, I began to travel the world, and Chuck always took interest in me and made me feel special by asking about my trips and sharing some of his old stories. He was a compassionate, loving man who followed God. We will all certainly miss him, but I trust he is happily with his Maker now.
To family and dear friends of Chuck. Chuck was our faithful and friendly and wonderful neighbor for 14 years. We talked politics, weather, religion, gardening, shared some meals and just appreciated each other as neighbors. Our last meal with him was at one of his favorite restaurants and we all used his coupons….Long John Silvers!!! He had great stories and was such a dedicated American who cared about his country and his family and his friends. He kept so active and lived such a full life! We were so blessed to have known him and we miss him, since we moved a few months ago. Our prayers are with his family and friends who will miss him and we look forward to swapping more stories when we see him in heaven some day…what a great reunion he must be having with Alice and Joann. Deepest sympathy from the three children of the late Rex and Bettie George. Rex was a fellow navigator and friend of Chuck and was in frequent contact with him after the deaths of Agnes and Joann. Chuck was kind enough to send us some old photos after our parents died in May 2007. You are in our thoughts. Candy, Jenny and Chris
To the family of Colonel Dupont He was a wonderful, bubbly, ray of sunshine to everyone he was around and will be missed by many. I get paid to be the secretary to the base commander but I did a lot of volunteering for the retirees around McConnell, in all of Kansas and some other states. I always looked forward to seeing Colonel Dupont when he would sometimes come to our monthly luncheon but most of all always enjoyed his phone calls when he had a question. Because he had a very ‘unmistakeable’ voice as soon as I heard his voice I’d always say, ‘Hi Colonel Dupont’ and he could never figure out how I could always recognize his voice. My prayers and thought will be with his family at this time. Mary 307 East Showalter Rose Hill KS 67133 776-2339
