Hund, Charles M., 87, former teacher and retired Pyramid Life Insurance Agent, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2006. Rosary, 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 26; service, 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 27, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Charles was born July 10, 1919 in McFarland, Kansas. A decorated Army veteran, he served in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a graduate of Kansas State University and received a masters degree from Colorado State University. Charles and Anna Mae Habiger were married August 21, 1948 and were together for 58 years. Preceded in death by son, Melvin; parents, Moritz and Mary Anna; brothers, Roman and Gilbert; sister, Helen. Survivors: wife, Anna Mae; sons, Dr. Larry (Margy) Hund of Wichita, Dr. Morris (Betty) Hund of Fargo, ND; daughters, Karen (Greg) Perkins, Ruth Ann Timmermeyer, all of Wichita; grandchildren, Alison, Carolyn, and Laura Hund, Melissa and Sarah Hund, Brian and Lindsay Perkins, Brad and Jeff (Theresa) Timmermeyer; 1 great-grandson; brother, Elmer Hund of Merriam; sister, Rosemary Habiger of Topeka.
