Christian Albert Vierthaler, 37, Maintenance Technician for the YMCA, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary, with internment immediately following at Calvery Cemetery at 11:30.
Christian achieved an Associate’s degree from Butler Community College. Christian loved sports. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and University of North Carolina Tarheels. Christian visited UNC, making a wish at the UNC “Old Well” and met the team that he loved so much. He was made an honorary “tarheel teammate #44” under Coach Matt Doherty. Christian achieved many great things in his lifetime and touched many individuals along the way. He fought a long, hard battle over the years until God called him home to rest.
Christian is preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert A. Vierthaler and Bonita “June” Vierthaler (Paternal), Charles Bolton and Lucy Bolton (Maternal); and Shelby D. Vierthaler (Uncle). He is survived by his father and stepmother Shawn D. Vierthaler and Susan Y. Vierthaler, and mother, Ann M. Bolton; his sister Lindsey M. Vierthaler-Johnson (Nate), Stepsister Amber C. Bender (James); numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
Memorials have been established with; Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202, and Make-A-Wish, 13523 Barrett Parkway Drive, Suite 241, Ballwin, MO 63021.
Service in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary – West Chapel.

Christian will be missed dearly by our family, he and my Dad talked for hours on end since I was a kid. He was a blessing to everyone and we were all lucky to have him in our lives. Praying for the family in this incredibly difficult time. ❤️

Ann so sorry for your loss. Marlene and I met Christian and Linsey when we made our trip to Kansas. So sorry to hear about your loss. He is in good hands now and looking down at you with a smile for all you for him. Stay strong as that is what he would want for you.
