Lane, Cindy M. “Punky”, 39, para for the Andover School district, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010. Visitation with the family will be 6-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 13 with service 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 14, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Preceded in death by daughter, Dakota Lane. Survivors: Arthur Lane; children, Hunter T. J. Brady Lane, Gresyn Douglas Cole Lane and Kenedi Isabella Marie Lane; step-son, Logan B. E. Lane; parents, Tom and Mary Little of Andover; brother, Jeff Little (DeeDee) of Wichita; nephews, Chance and Cade Little; grandmother, Arlene Jarrett of Arkansas City, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials to: the Lane Childrens Educational Fund, c/o Steve and Cathy Mikus, 566 N. Parallel Dr., Andover, KS, 67002.

I worked with Cindy at meadowlark for 6 years. How very saddened I am to hear of her passing. She was a blessing to me every day at work – always laughing and seeing the bright side of life. I am praying for her children and the rest of the family. May God’s love shine on you during these dark days.
Hunter and Gresyn, Chhaya and I are so sorry to learn of the loss of your Mom. We have so many great memories of you both coming with Cindy to the Martin/Ross family gatherings through the years. (Kristy Duggan is my niece.) We are thinking of you during this difficult time.

My daughter Shelby Newton was a student of Ms. Lane and after she came to terms with what I had told her she said she always laughed. She was always happy, my favorite teacher because she was always happy. Hold that dear that the time she was here she touched my child with only happiness. my thoughts and prayers go out cindys family when i was a student she was one of my paras i remember her smile.
Cindy was always a reliably bright and bubbly happy friend during our times at Cowley County. I will treasure those happy memories of her. My thoughts and condolences to the family.
