  1. We were saddened to learn of the demise of your father, our relative, Clarence Fincham. We enjoyed his presence at the Fincham reunion in 2003. Thanks for bringing him there Chuck. I liked corresponding with him and he gave us valuable information concerning the ancestry of your branch of Finchams. Without his help I would not have had the info concerning Ellis Island, an important source in documenting the time line for individual Fincham immigration to the states. The pictures of Albert Victor, and the ‘IMPERATOR’ passenger ship bringing him to America (obtained through Emily Jane) added a dimension to the Fincham book. He knew his history well. It was through him I learned that back in time we are French as well as English. I lost my own father, George Hertlein April 4, 2007. He was 93 and lived a good full life, leaving a lasting legacy. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies. Sincerely, Donna (Edward Fincham) Hertlein Wygle

  2. I was so sorry to read about Clancy. I know that now he is with his beloved Charlotte. I was the first receptionist at Cornerstone Ridge Plaza and knew both Charlotte and Clancy. I remember his devotion to Charlotte and his kind and caring way he took care of her for the last few years of her life. He was an inspiration to me and other staff members. He was so nice to me for the time I was there. I always kept track of him through Dot, the housekeeper and my friend, so I knew he had left Cornerstone and was sorry to hear about his illness. I will always remember him for the kind and loving person he was. He told me many stories of his travels with Charlotte and the fun they had together. He had good memories of their time together. Your family are in my prayers now and I know Charlotte was waiting for him in heaven. With greatest sympathy, Betty Follin
