Tippin Family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Grandpa. My heart is sad. Thank you all for caring for both my grandparents. You all truly served them both with you time and love. I am sorry I can not be there today as you remember his life. Love and pray sent your way. As grandma always signed my cards. xoxo Rebecca Perucca
Dear family of Clarence and Joyce Tippin: We saw the obituary of Clarence in today’s Wichita Eagle and it brought back so many memories of earlier times spent with Clarence and Joyce at the Newton Elks Lodge. We are proud owners of a sand painting of a pheasant in our home as well as a loved KU Jayhawk stone. Clarence also did a large sand painting of a mighty bull Elk that hung in the Newton Lodge dining room until our doors closed and now it hangs in the Wichita Elks Lodge since Newton’s merger with Wichita. We were admiring it again last night during the lodge’s annual Christmas party for all the KS Elks Training Center for the Handicapped (KETCH) clients. We always enjoyed sitting together with them passing stories back and forth. Each June Clarence and I (Sandy Larson) wished each other Happy Birthday as our birthdays were on the same day of June, the 16th. We celebrate the lives of Clarence and Joyce and how they touched ours for several years. We lost track of them after they moved away from Peabody and I was just thinking about them again recently when dusting his painting in preparation for holiday guests at Thanksgiving. May God bless your family with peace and understanding. We have missed them but will always remember them with loving thoughts and fun memories.
