Constance “Connie” Jane Vopat, 93, died Saturday, November 29, 2025. Connie was a faithful believer in Jesus, and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Connie graduated from Luray High School in Luray, KS. She was on the basketball team and loved singing. She married Harold Vopat in 1950. She was a public school secretary in Salina, KS for 20 years.
Connie was an avid writer, poet, seamstress, and bible teacher. She volunteered hours in the churches she attended, was a big sister, and worked for child advocacy in Salina. She talked to people wherever she went, and many times shared the gospel with them.
She is survived by her daughters, Christine Goodlin of Lansing, KS, Violet (Bryan) Black of Wichita; grandchildren, Casey, Leslie, Emily, Jeffrey, Bethany, Beatrice; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 10:30 am, Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Graveside Service will follow at 1:30 pm, Wilson Cemetery, Wilson, KS.
A memorial has been established with: Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
